AIESEC in GIKI bags a National Award at NYDS’16


Students of AIESEC in GIKI along with Agha Faran Ali (Batch 25), member of AIESEC in GIKI, won the only national award of Best Delegation and the Honorary Best Delegate award at the National Youth and Development Seminar (NYDS) hosted by AIESEC in Pakistan on 24th Nov, 2016. 

The acceptance ratio of AIESEC is 8% from the whole of Pakistan, and it hosts 4 major conferences each year, out of which NYDS is among the largest. NYDS is a 4 day conference with more than 450 delegates from 50+ universities all across Pakistan with addition to 7 international facilitators. Multiple sessions are held by partners, the alumni, corporate heads and foreign chairs; all aimed to ensure professional outreach, skill building, personal development and national networking of the delegates.

The biggest aim of this conference is to make a leader out of every delegate in attendance and to provide them with the necessary opportunities to utilize those skills professionally. “I am extremely proud of our delegation,” says Hamza Azhar, President of AIESEC in GIKI. “The significance of this win cannot be underestimated since among the top universities of Pakistan, GIKI had triumphed at this conference and really set a positive impact on every person at the conference. My tenure at AIESEC and time in GIKI are coming to an end and this achievement has been a significant accolade for me and GIKI”
