GIK Institute develops research collaboration with the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa

Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute signed the MOU between the centre of Excellence in Mathematics and Statistical Sciences, the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa through Prof. Dr. Ghulam Shabbir. The aim of this MOU is to strengthen the research collaboration and exchange programme between students and researchers.

The collaboration was started in 2012 when Prof. Dr. Ghulam Shabbir went to deliver a talk in the International Conference on Symmetries, Differential Equations and Applications on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Evariste Galois in the University of the Witwatersrand. Recently both the universities officially signed the MOU in February 2015. During this period three articles have been published in very good international Journals and four articles have been submitted.
